My family loves games and one we like to play is Sardines. In Sardines, one person hides, and the others try to find them. Once you find them, you hide with them until you are packed in the hiding place like sardines. Oh, and one other thing. It’s played in the dark. No lights allowed. My son and I usually cheat and use the light on our cell phones because dark is dark. You stub you toe on, trip over, and run into things. Check out this verse from John 8:

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8: 12

Think on all the things light does. Light shows us the way to go, like lights on an airport runway. Light helps us to find things, like in the refrigerator. Light exposes potential dangers, like the skateboard in the middle of the floor. Without light, we stumble around, feel our way, and hope for the best. More than once, I have stepped off what I thought, in the dark, was the last stair, only to find that it wasn’t. Ouch! Jesus tells us “whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” What would you prefer, the true Light of life or a stumble in the dark? If you are interested, talk to Him today.
